The results are skewed. I for one didn't bother voting because it's a senseless enterprise...and I'm sure many others didnt bother either.

Actually, it was a record turnout for this past election on both sides of the isle. The reasons most popular analyst think that the vote swung so Democratic were:
1. GW and his administration/tactics being so unpopular
2. John McCain seeming to be at deaths door and picking the wrong running mate
3. Fat cats on Wall Street and making mega $$ and left-leaning media splashing it all over
4. The decline in the Republican core voting group, that being white voters.

I'm not going to comment on the first three as they are no-brainers. The so called "white vote" has been sustaining the Republican party for many years, but because this country continues to evolve, more and more "non-white" voters are now voting, and the majority of them are voting Democrat. According to a poll released this morning, the "white vote" in America is at an all-time low, with white voters being roughly 60% of the voting population today. By naturalizing the millions of illegals in this country, and the majority of those voters being Democrats, we are in for a long and sustained $$ giveaway in this country

. What you see today is nothing compared to what is coming folks...........Entitlements will rule the day, and there will be no room for anything based on performance. Heck, you won't have to take personal responsibility for your actions or where you are in life - it's always somebody else's fault.

Of course, this is my own personal and humble opinion
