    Default vivax vloc pro 3

Here is a link to the most info
    Vivax-Metrotech vLoc3-Pro Precision Line Locator

It looks so much like the Metrotech 5000 but with some updating, the new sonde mode is long overdue.

Will the Classic Mode be the most reliable mode?

Classic looks the one someone with experience would choose. What is neat is you can buy the add on foot and it will do marker balls, or add sd for signal direction. Does not look like signal select (sis)is an option even though it is very much like an i5000. I was going to be pissed if it did though because I just bought the vivax loc 5000.

Unclear from the web link if the add on foot (antenna) is a option chosen when you buy it and is permanently attached or as is implied a slip on boot. I have used the old RDs with the slip on boot and do not recommend a slip on boot. One it is awkward to carry and you have to stop, go to truck and get it then put back in truck and go back and finish. Another big problem is these boots have to be taken on and off over the course of the locate and tend to get lost.

Get a receiver with a permanently attached EMS receiver antenna.
