Default vice grips on PSL bolts

Took an idea mentioned elsewhere on this thread and tried it on something different.

Used a pair of vice grips on those big ass bolts on some power street light pedestals. Works like a hot damn. Got a kick ass signal.

Is that a private street light? Or is it actually owned by the utility company? It's wierd how different all the utilities are from one area to another.

    Hey Golden:

Ya, this is owned by a utility and is on a main street. I was locating an area today for them to continue the sidewalk just up the street.

My field sup. came along and just laughed but hey, it works!

I started to use vicegrips to make my 'cheater' clip but decided a c-clamp was easier. Good idead for street lights
