    Like Spray mentioned, "Goof off" works well, and oven cleaner also works extremely well. Only problem with the Oven cleaner is, it can also soften plastic if left on too long, so you don't want to spray the whole piece of equipment all at once, just spray it on your rag, and go to town.

    I use my bug juice or the hornet spray if a slip up occurs while in the field...

    If i had wd-40 I d use that...

    Hell, I clean my trumpet with wd 40... I use to have that list of all the crap wd40 is good for...Its a doozy...

    I have used the water-based D'Gel (mainly used to clean icky-pic from telco and fiber cables) to clean our equipment with. Does a decent job and smells like squeezed oranges too!
