Default Sewer Line Locate to drainfeild- Poly

I've been running in a fish tape and putting current on the wire which as you can imagine gets plenty nasty cleaning up and I'm limited to the fish tape length.

    Is it possible to:

    1. take a water hose, let it run into the inlet a few mins until it creates a consistent fluid water stream all the way down to the drainfeild
    2. Put a charge on the water at the inlet and trace it out with a wand throughout the entire length? I'm guessing that if I have a complete water path, that will constitute a circuit and be traceable, right?

I doubt I'll be able to fully saturate the sewer line and just have a consistent trickle.

No, it will not work, a stream of water will not carry a radio signal. Otherwise, we'd never have any trouble locating plastic and concrete water lines. Fish tapes, sondes or Ground Penetrating Radar are pretty much the only options.

It works fine if the pipe is full of water with the inductive clamp around the poly. I was able to trace out most of the water system in the entire park that way. In this case, I cannot fully saturate that pipe with water.

I'm not sure on the length in this particular run. Maybe 20 feet. I do have a Prototek AR-1 Arde but am looking for the easiest way to skin it.
