The female plug in the transmitter is acting up so I tried to pull apart the transmitter with no luck. I removed all the screws I could find but it didn't make any difference. Has anyone pulled one apart before?

Once all the screws are out you have to pry the case apart.
Just don't forget that once you pry the case apart and split the factory sticker you void the warranty.
Golden you are correct. I just figured it is out of warranty if Steve is taking it apart.
Normally when you remove all the screws in anything it will start to give in some way. This transmitter didn't budge. It was like I didn't take out any screws. I didn't know where to start prying so I didn't even try. I didn't want to bust it up and then have to pay for it. That would suck.
One of the inspection stickers is on top of a screw so I think I voided the warranty when I unscrewed that one screw. Oh well. It is an old 75t so I don't think the warranty is any good on it.

If all else fails, give it to a 5 yr old and wait about 10 minutes!
I might not be as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was !

sledge hammer is the only way to repair a subsite!
I've sent e-mails to the subsite people and asked them to join the forum and maybe they could help us out with these questions... and possibly push some of their product. But I got no answer.

Steve
once you have remove the screws and the hinge for the lid (there are a couple of screws under the left side where the stick on face plate is which you have to peel back to get to them) . You have to pry the inside plate away from the sides due to a rubber seal that goes around it. It is kind of hard to explain. I have taken a few apart. some were easy and some had to be pryed apart pretty hard due to they will glue theirself tight after years of service.
Those were fine suggestions and if I had a 5 year old laying around I would have given the transmitter to the little tyke. But, the problem is solved. I didn't want to mess up the machine so I gave it back to the boss who replaced it with a nicer, shinier one that works well.
This morning we discovered the extra screws under the sticky plate.
