    Default fiber locate info

I was in a discussion with my director about the lack of fiber info on our osp grids IE: when you click on a fiber you get no info available. Leaving the question of is it armored, pest duct, trace wire or common trench or the engineer forgot to make it locatable. I was told only in my little neck of the woods is anybody having trouble. Everybody else seems to be able to locate their fiber ok.
My question is, is this just my area?

This is different with every contract. Some of our contracts we have prints that give all the info on the fibers. Other contract the prints just show a line on the prints showing the fiber with no info at all.

Not just in your area.....according to all the engineers everything is put in the ground the way it is supposed to be (locateable and all). Untill you go out and prove them wrong.

    Go figure.

if using osp, you must be locating qwest. to my knowledge, there is no label information for fiber on any osp print.

Fiber is the Stupidist Shit in the world to locate!

Here is an idea! Let's make something out of glass that cost ALOT to make, ALOT to put in the ground, ALOT to fix if it gets broken and wait for it here's the best part, NO GODDAMN WAY TO FIND IT!!!!!

Bad prints (no prints), no tracer (9 out of 10 times), no metal armor sheathing!

I bitch about this at EVERY Dig Safe meeting I go to. Does it matter? Not one bit!
