    I don't know? But I know the Rycom clamps are not compatible with the old RDs. I really don't know why when they have the same jack and the red/black leads are interchangable.

    The Old RD Clamp has a small strap soldered from the center pin to the casing/sheild , If you pull back the plug cover on the Rycom clamp you will probably find that strap/link/jumper is missing.
