They cost about 50-60 bucks a month each depending on the carrier. I have used mine in both urban and rural areas. If you have a good network, they work just about anywhere now, but it is MUCH faster in urban areas (1X is about like an old 56k dial up modem and the newer EDVO and 3G ones are more like a 10/100 broadband connection). Also depends on what card you get. Some work better than others. I have three different ones so far, but the one I have now seems to do the best.
I seek not to know the answers, but to understand the questions.

Besides, now you can check the Vine on the go. What's not to like about that?

The aircards are definately nice but there sure are alot of dead spots. Downtown areas with too tall of buildings or subdivisions that are in valleys don't get service or verrrrrryyyyy slow service.

I run a rural route and I have pretty good luck with the Verizon card. I'm still learning what parts of my area get a good connection.
