    hi guy's,

has any one done much with the dynatel 573DL w/A frame in terms of fault finding? opinions please.

i don't often use the A frame unless i have a deep system, i do irrigation locates.

when and if i buy another locator what would you suggest?

i use it mainly for verification of my other locators, durring excavation i'll us a tempo TR-4110 catv that i've rebuilt and tuned myself.

what would you prefer? that's why i joined, information.

do you guys find faults? or do you just mark for excavation?

i'm really looking for fault finding info for the dynatel A frame, i rarely dig it out, between the TDR and the tr-4110 used in conjunction i can narrow the search down to a few feet in a matter of a few minutes.

    any input is great

I done a ton of A-frame fault locating with the 573DL. Not only for telecom but for the local electrician. I personally love it but I have not tried anything else for over 8 years. I can get within a foot of the fault every time as long as it is grounded good.

I can't help you with 'fault finding'. That job is usually done by my Old Lady!
