    Default OVUS awarded Cobb EMC Electric Cooperative contract in North Georgia

    We (OneVision Utility Services, LLC) were just awarded the Cobb EMC electric cooperative contract currently held by USIC in Cobb County, Georgia. We take over the contract March 1, 2019 at 5:01pm eastern time. We are currently hiring for several positions - Large Projects Manager, Lead Tech (2 positions), DPT (6 positions). Total staff for this contract will be (18) employees. Pay depends on experience and preference will be given to those currently locating in that contract. This is a single utility locate contract - our team will only locate Cobb EMC locate requests.

    Congrats Mr. John , things can only go up from here , by that I mean more NICE contracts !! They have some great hands over that way , I am sure they will find you and seek out a change in careers.

    Yep, already hired the majority of the techs we will need to start the contract. Many said they are waaaaayyy tired of mandatory weekend work and running multiple utilities on the same ticket. We require them to continue working until the contract changes hands so as not to deplete USIC resources and jeopardize the transition. We are hopeful that things will go smoothly but as with all transitions it can go either way and we are prepared for the best and the worst.......

    Everyone bitches about OT Monday through Friday as well as the weekend. Then when there is no OT they line up asking if there is any available for them to work. They get used to the OT on their paychecks and spend it like it was regular pay. So without OT they then can't pay their bills.
