Default A wiki is now in place

In this thread a fellow Viner asked if we could setup a training forum where people could go in and contribute information that would aid in training others... or something like that.

Well... I have setup something called a wiki. Basically it is the same thing as wikipedia.org. I don't know how to use it completely but that comes with time. I encourage everyone who is interested in contributing to go on over to the new locatewiki and look around.

I've started a page just to be the first one. You can find it here: Paint Codes
    It needs some formatting.

I just want to make sure that anyone who creates or edits an article in the locatewiki only posts facts. Opinions belong on the forum, facts only in the wiki.

What should or can go into the locatewiki??? Good question. Anything that has to do with locating. ANYTHING that has to do with locating.

A locate company belongs in the wiki. Equipment manufacturers belong there. Techinques, methods, terminology, people, history... anything that is related to or indirectly related to locating belongs in there.

"How to expose a buried utility" could go in there.
"Ford Ranger" could go in there since it is a commonly used truck in locating.
"Underground Focus Magazine" the industries publication belongs in there.
"Ring Clamp"... Whatever you can think of goes in there.
