Default Even more changes and google ads

If you have been paying attention... which 99% of you haven't or possibly 100% I would guess, you would have noticed that the structure of the URL has changed. I've purchased a service for the website called vBseo. It is a plugin that changes the URL structure and other things on the website so that search engines like my site better than before. Doing this brings more traffic to the site (theoretically) and thus more locators/visitors.

As I'm sure all of you have noticed the ads have been re-enabled. I fixed the problems google had with the site so they have in turn re-approved the site. This is good because the money I get from the advertising goes towards paying for the services and the recent upgrades.

The CMS system I added a few months back is seemingly sitting dormant. I understand if you are wondering why nothing is being done with it. I am working on it. In addition to my daily job and what little life I have, I am also doing things in the backend that will be apparent sometime in the near future. When? I'm not sure but it will be a month or two away.

Speaking of a month or two away, I may have a huge announcement to make concerning the site but I can't make it yet. I will let you all know when the time comes and you will understand why I can't do it now.

Hang in there and I appreciate every ones contributions.

    It's all good.

I'm not selling the site for those wondering. If I did sell it, I would sell it to someone who would continue what I've been trying to maintain.

HA! Glad to hear that, but I must ask, would they have shareholders to make happy?

Would the person I sell it to have shareholders? I don't know. I'm thinking anyone who might be interested would be more in the publication business. I did get an offer from a Locate Company owner about a year or two ago, but I turned them down. They weren't a USIC or Utiliquest or anything that big.

Just an update on the "Big Announcement". The "Big Announcement" isn't happening. Things didn't happen like I was expecting them to. I know I'm being vague but I need to for certain reasons. I expected to have more time to dedicate to the site but the 'more time' isn't coming and I don't see it happening anytime soon. Without that extra time I think this place will remain close to what you see.

Every now and then someone will send me an offer to purchase the site. I turn them down. I never really considered selling. But now, if something interesting comes along I just might do it. Honestly, I don't think it'll sell but you never know.

I should also add that it makes complete sense to throw LocatorJobs.com in there as well. A package deal I suppose.

    I'm closing this thread.
