I've added a new chat module on the homepage. you can see it by going to www.thecablevine.com and looking on the right hand side. This is the free version for now.

Please try it out and let me know what you think.

Let's try to be respectable with the chat and use our own usernames. I was surprised to check in today and saw someone used my username and posted on the chat line.

The chat system comes from an outside source. You are actually posting to another server somewhere. When you post a message it goes to that server and then is relayed to this website. The chat system is at the mercy of that server.

There is a way to merge the chat system to the forum and it will automatically detect your name and will not let you change your name but it is 2.00 bucks a month for who ever is in charge of the chat I believe they call it integration on the admin of the chat and they will help you set it up plus you can also add admins and mods to the chat also to help cut bs add extra smilies all the good stuff not to mention there would be no need to refresh it automatically adds all the messages in live time pretty sweet...
