    Default USIC moving into Denver?

I have some job alerts set up, just to see what's out there. This morning I find this:

Utility Locate Technician Jobs - Denver, CO | Simply Hired

I'm assuming that they're moving in for the kill. Anyone know anything about this?

I had not heard. If that is a new office yheey usually move into an area by buying an existing contract.

USIC has only really been in the business since 2008 so they are sill building their reputation. Being new they had no history of poor performance which made them a good prospect as a contractor in the eyes of the utility companies. Their repudiation on this board is poor and it seems field performance may start costing them to lose existing contracts.

I'd eat a bucket of dicks before I'd go to work for USIC.

Idle time restrictions, poor pay, extremely bad management, constant GPS monitoring, no bonuses, constant lies from supervisors, terrible benefits, reduced PTO, ridiculous micro-management...... ETC.....

    No thanks.

The kill? USIC just lost most of the Clink for Colorado last week (clink contract much larger than comcast). Also Stake Center lost Clink in like 4 states. Its all going to be on FIRE!

All these changes, every one of them are terrible for the industry and locator. (not pro union....just saying)

LOL. That won't be necessary. If the time comes that I need to go back to USIC, I'd gladly put a bullet in my head first.

God, I hope you're right. If USIC takes over everything that ELM used to hold, those contracts will become sulfuric acid to the utilities. Music to my ears right thar, boys!

I could not agree more. Maybe it is my optimistic nature but I am thankful for these contract switches. ELM is a dying company. They have lost a lot of the really good people that worked for them. I don't know many people that have anything good to say about USIC. The only thing they have done is drive the locate price way down. I don't see how they can make any money. It is only a matter of time before decent companies realize that you get what you pay for. If you want your plant protected you need to hire a company that cares about it. We all just need some patience.
