Yeah, that transition is going to effect companies where i'm at. I'm curious how they are going to retain Locates. It is now being contracted out to CSI and they have not even had the contract for a year yet.

Most of the contracts that I have seen or heard of are Company specific based off of legal registered company names. If the corporate identity ceases to exist, the contract would not renew and roll over to the new corporate identity without having first been re- negotiated. The locate shops will either have to re-negotiate, or bid on a new contract with the new vendor.

careful what you wish for, Verizon out here sucks to locate... its even worse then Qwest.

The Verizon Tech's had such a hard time with it, whenever they had any locates longer then 100' they made us do them. they would also paint drops like they were Ducts. Big Wide Tripple stripes.
