No More Bonus

Subject: Supervisor/Tech Bonus

When the Technician and Supervisor bonus plan was implemented for September business, the intention was to drive performance improvement across the company. The USIC results for the first two months have not reflected improvements commensurate with the costs of the plans. As a result, the plan will cease effective December 1, 2008.

This news came out at the end of October. Not long after that an email was sent out confirming that the "temporary" bone-us program, the individual based program that was to run from September through December, was being removed largely due to the fact that our quality was not meeting expectations and was affecting the bottom line.

Why are you posting this now?

bone-us'es will never work for no reason.....that 's now my final conclusion on this subject and yes that is subject to change.....ha!!!

We just received this email Friday December 19th 2008. I wonder if the people at Corperate received there bonuses? Sorry if I stepped on your Big Boots

We just got the email about the bonuses being suspended also. I guess in our district it came as no surprise. We were finally getting bonuses again and then they were taken away. I just wish they'd think it through before implementing it. Taking the bonus away after it only being in effect for three months it worse than never having one in the first place.

Oh well, like I said it didn't come as a surprise to me.

Goldenboy I have to agree! (Dont be shocked.LOL) We as a District only received one check for Sept. Most of us have had no damages or accidents. for years. Go figure! I never understood why we didnt get a bonus for the rest of the monthes we worked.

You're not stepping on my toes. I didn't know that the temporary bonus program wasn't suspended for everyone back in October. Must have been a district by district thing? We've known for at least two months now that there was no chance for achieving bonus.

I know last year we were told that no one, from the locators up to the corporate levels, would be receiving any type of bonus at the end of the year. In fact, all of the bonus money we banked throughout the year was reneged because our company couldn't meet their budget. I haven't heard anything this year about our corporate level employees not receiving an end of year bonus, but then again why would I? I'm just a lowly locator.

Nor for me and many of us in Northern Illinois Golden.

Sad state of affairs when our expectations are so low, eh?

In the 12 years I've been here, I've never seen a bonus plan that made it very long. They've tried 15 different ways to base it and it never ends up being fair to all parties involved and gets shoved to the wayside. With them now complaining about economy and not meeting budgets, it makes myself and other locators in the upper part of the payscale wondering if they'll decide that they can do it with less tenured employees.
