    Default Locating Pay

Maybe some of you could give me some insight into locator pay and supervisory pay. With so many contract companies wanting to get work, they tend to lower there price per ticket, which I assume means lower pay for locators. Or locators make the same pay, but now have an additional utility to mark.

What is the average locator pay per hour? What is the average pay of the supervisors or the upper management?

Trying to find out average pay is very hard. If someone said they make 20.00/hr in IL it would be good money. If someone said they make 20.00/hr in CA it's low pay. Cost of living makes a big difference. Being a supervisor is normally a paycut compared to locating.

Top out for locator in certain areas of Florida for a locator $20.00.

Starting for Supervisor $48,000. Now remember sups work 50-70 hrs a week.

An example I was called at 8:00pm Friday for a locator problem and did not get back home until 1:30 am. I did not get paid for this time. This is also after I was out 6:30 am and got home at 5:15 pm that day. The extra was all unpaid as I am salary.

Add a poll, something with yearly takes. Would probably answer your question. I've known of some locators making over 65k.
