There is a fine line between "Hobby" and "Mental Illness."

All the jobs are out side of Florida and where I live. I am probably going to change careers and drive OTR. NO sup audits, none one looking over your shoulder.
I asked my DM for a letter of recommendation and never got a response. That shows when you are dismissed and no longer on the payroll your Loyalty, Dedication and doing what they want don't mean squat.
Try Consolidated Utility Services. I believe we have an office right in Tampa.
I believe we just began a contract in the Pensacola and Panama City area as well.
Sorry Dawg, but you may not have a sup looking over your shoulder, but every trooper and DOT cop is!! If you are going OTR, do NOT let them push you to drive illegal! (hours or equipment) If you get caught, YOU get the fine, not the company!
Been there, done that. I was always taught to maintain 3 logbooks. One shows what you are actually running, so you can keep up with it. The second is the one you show the DOT cop when you get checked, and the third is what you turn into the company to get paid.
Just dont mess up and hand the wrong log page to the wrong party.
Also, if the trucking company doesn't do electroncis logs like Werner, I highly recommend a loose leaf style log book. DOT can only check back the previous 7 days, and with a bound style book they can pop you on something that you had looged in from a few weeks ago.
The restrictions on trucks and truckers keeps getting tighter and tighter too. I used to be a gear jammer, but didn't like the time away from home....
