my old boss used to say....honest 8 hour day is all i ask!!! i look back and i could have done better but all that takes time to get perfect !!! i'm happy where i am now!!!!

Take into consideration the following statistic just released and see if your answers are any different:

In 1970 the average CEO made 45 times the salary of the average worker(ex. Worker was making $10,000 yrly, CEO $450,000 yrly)
Today the Average CEO makes 300 times the salary the average worker makes($30,000 yrly for the worker, $9,000,000 for the CEO)

Good point Spray. If they took just a fraction of that money from each of the exec's and spread it throughout the company they could improve a lot of peoples quality of life and or purchase/repair equipment , etc. Wait I'm starting to sound like a lib, but it's true.

no ...i wouldn't say a liberal way of thinking....i would say just the plain truth!!! i agree that they should be paid more because of their education but not thatmuch more.

*shrug* never has mattered to me how much someone else is making. CEO, Middle Management, Co-Worker, or Newbie. - don't care.

I care about what *I* make. And as long as I feel MY wage is fair, I bust my ass to earn it. If I DON'T feel my wage is fair, I find someone willing to pay me better. I DON'T let others carry my share of the burden.

Point taken RD. We are the lowest paid peoples in our given industry but have the most responsibility and stress = me not being happy with current wages. Also it does matter what others make because currently in our company for example they're taking from the employee more and more to ensure the paychecks of the top can stay the same even though they claim to have taken a paycut. As far as finding someone who can pay you better, you could do that in the good ' ol days but isn't so easy nowadays as jobs are scarce. Not trying to start a fight just making a point and complaining as usual.

Oh, I didn't say it wasn't a load of crap 6ft. It is. And it makes me angry. Very.

I said I didnt care what they made when it came to how hard I worked. My feelings on executive pay have little to do with whether or not I'm doing my fair share, or making one of my peers work harder because of my lack of work ethic. Regardless of what profesion I am employed in, I give it my all.

And the point of this little side tangent of the thread was that if we don't want management to go all "Big Brother" on Techs, then it's necessary to weed out the "sandbaggers" that caused them to want GPS/Cameras/etc. in the first place. If everyone was doing their jobs, then it wouldn't even be seen as a necessity.

And I wasn't trying to start a fight either.

Has anyone noticed how alot of members want to gain status through there more imaginative greater insight than others...

It s so refreshing... Maybe Steve can put the logo on a dirigible and advertise during this years NFL season... I'd hate to think we would waste so much hot air...
