The Good....Utiliquest

I wanted to end my last week in utilities with something good to say about my company. Everyone talks bad about theirs including me at times, but this last week will be all good and hopefully useful for all who have to make decisions in their last days.

# 1. Utiliquest , gave information to every last person in the whole state, that our contract was lost and that in (3 months) all could possibly be without jobs. We all knew that Oct 31 would probably be our last day, and indeed it is ! Thank you UQ for such a long notice, for what I have seen in other companies it is usually only about a week or so!

every night this week I will add one more good thing that UQ is doing for their employees and there is a long list! My intentions is for you to see further out than the end of your nose!

Perfect Post.... I always like seeing the posts about the good (Locate Techs & the Companies) we work for do.

At times "The Business we have chosen" is a thankless job. At the end of the day, we earn a decent living and have great stories to tell. All Companies are not perfect but when they do the right thing they deserve to be recognized for it.

Sorry to hear the 31st is D-day for you guys. You still lookin to stay in locating, or you giving it up cold turkey?

it may seem that I'm taking it way to easy......but indeed I am not....it is no secret to anyone that knows me , I love locating and the benefits that come with this job...!!!! I do have something else lined up and I want to keep that private...thanks!

Hey Yahoo,

We kid because we care. I have been in many situations, both personally and professionaly where it we extremely difficult to take the high road and in the end it is the only option to benefit you and your family. I commend you in the path you have chosen, it is all to easy to bash co-workers and employers when you have some annonymity here on the website.

I hope you take all the jest in stride, and know we mean nothing by it. Good luck, and hopefully this doesn't mean that you are not going to stop posting? We were hoping you were going to break the 3K mark by November.
