ECSM Verizon contract

Anyone know what is going on with ECSM in Virginia? I heard they are giving up the Verizon contract.

I heard they just picked up the Dominion Power contract starting Jan 2,09 i heard they were doing good with verizon? I know in other parts verizon does there own locates so???????

I know that ECSM lost or gave all vzn in virginia to CLS but ECSM still has Fairfax, they can keep it phone in fairfax VA is a nightmare YEEEEEEEEEEEEEK

Today ECSM closed there doors in va they gave up the Vzn contract so i guess they are done in Va

ECSM lost Northern VA today 100% sure, Utiliqest picked it back up again and I was locating VZN again.

Verizon is giving up locates in Flordia in 2 weeks, ot less, and in Illinois in Feb "09"
We have heard CLS, then SM&P. And the maybe a CSI. no one knows

Consolidated Utility Services (CUS) has the Verizon Contracts.

Where does "CUS" have them at? Not in Illinois yet. The company and the locals as of last week have not confirmed that they are giving it up YET.

"CUS" did have it at one time. But it was when it was GPLS. I do know that they have been letting it go. The only state left is Texas. So we have about 40 brothers and sisters out in the cold. Verizon siad that they would try to roll us over but they can't do it yet do to budget reasons. But they did find jobs for them in the other states.

But some of us are looking forward to getting back into contract locating.

We heard rumors that Verizon was looking to contract out their locating but nothing has happened as of today.

CUS are doing Verizon locates currently as of three weeks ago in the Tampa Bay area. This is facts. They did hire some of the old locator's from Verizon. CLS was going to hire some but due to the slow down of the Verizon FTTP Project. we are currently looking for work to the folks employed.

Verizon told the locals of Fl. & Il. at the same time (mid Nov.) that they are going to ditch the locates. Fl. by Dec. 20th. and Il. by mid Feb.

We have heard ELM, CUS, SM&P. and a new company CSI. May take it over but who knows?
