Exclamation ComEd damages about to get a lot more expensive...

ComEd is no longer charging U.S.I.C. a fixed rate for damages. They are now charging for time, labor, and materials.

These utilities are now very dangerous and very expensive... so do your best to locate them accurately.

Hopefully the bean counters do not go to the usual solution for this problem. Namely, our costs have risen, so we need to beat more money out of those grunts! Which leads to shortcuts. And more damages. And more shortcuts.....etc....etc....

Had a HP electric damage before... really REALLY sucks. Those guys are out there for HOURS. And, are they gonna insist on getting reimbursed by USIC for the money due to customers who are out of power in the meantime? That's where your costs can go up & up.
