CLS/USIC Centurylink Contracts

The official announcement by CenturyLink came down yesterday. CLS/USIC got the Alabama and Carolina's contract. There was some other gains and only one area lost out west lost.

Was CenturyLink in-house locating or who lost the contract?
I ask becasue firms tout winning contracts and are quiet when they lose them.
It is important in this industry for locators to know what firms are in decline and what firms are showing growth.

Not sure about the Carolina's but in Alabama Consolidated Utility Service had the contract.

We didn't locate Centurylink in Carolina. We only do AT&T, Verizon, and Lexcom.

USIC had the century link contract in carolinas. It was thought that someone else would get the contract.

I do not know have many peds you have opened but kick them or slap them with the paint stick before opening. Peds are a favorite place for bees to nest. Also black widow spiders.

Down here we call the peds Fire ant High Rises. They were custom made for these little bastards!

Don't forget Mice..... The Haunta Virus can be a pain... I only have uncovered one rat nest in a ped, and it was a beat up ped, Rats freak me out more then mice, but at least they don't sting like wasps.

We also have Mebtel which was bought out by centurylink havnet heard if we still have the contract or not

Welcome to the Vine Bennett, make sure to post often. I have a pretty good idea who you are since there are only a handful of Bennett's associated with Consolidated.

Wasn't aware of that contract so I don't know if the contract was renewed or not. But if Centurylink bought them out, more then likely they will fall into the Centurylink Contract with USIC. Such as Bellsouth, Southernbell, fell into the contract with AT&T when AT&T rebought them back.
