Detroit Red Wings
Pittsburgh Penguins
Does it look like I care?

DETROIT in 7!
Success is a journey, not a destination...
Let the fun begin. I see a split in the first 2. A split in the next 2 then when Detroit gets to rest, Detroit takes the last 2

Detroit up 1-0.

The boards at the Joe have always been this way. Like my avatar shows, the only way Pittsburgh wins is if Cindy bends over and blows a ref to get the calls. I like how they let them play for a change. For all who keep saying Osgood is a weak link. Look at his numbers, almost 400 wins, 3 cups (2 as a starter, 49 shutouts. I would say hall of fame goalie.

Ya the first two games have really been free wheeling, no question. Exciting to watch for a change.
I am right there with you on Osgood.
The press used to give FUHR a bum rap all the time when he played here. What the hell do they really know. Fuhr is a hall of famer and where are the reporters...bumming on Osgood. Osgood will have the last laugh.
Incidently, the Red Wings have developed into a very very good team. Unbelievable systems, great lateral movement, unbelievable transition, strong defence and they can score from anywhere...as the pens are finding out.
This team is FAR FAR better than the Gretzky lead Oilers, more discilined and better coached!!!

Detroit has pretty much consitantly (for the most part) had a very good club over the years. Not to mention if it was for the Red Wings the city of Detroit would have probably forgotten what a championship sports trophy looks like (not really a dynasty city if you know what I mean).
I would love to see Detroit sweep (I hate the friggin Pens) but that wouldn't be exciting enough. I say Wings in 7.
Detroit wins 5-0 in a total blowout, take a 3-2 series lead.

Ya, I was outta town so had to listen to it on the radio
When the hell is Detroit going to getting some scoring punch??????.
They can be a verrrry scary team!!
Still think Pitts is a good scoring /checking defenceman (ie: Chris pronger/Paul Coffey) and a great goaltender away from a stanley cup.

Most here know the homer that I am. Pittsburgh outplayed Detroit to force a game 7. Game 7's are great (as long as it's your team). I'll be quite drunk come 11 pm on Friday either way. I just hope it's not a blow out either way.

Congrats to the Pittsburgh Penguins (Damn that hurts to say). I can see this matchup again next year (depending on San Jose and Boston)

Shocked the SH** out of me.
Though the game in reality could have gone either way...given the puck that careened off the crossbar with 2:41 left in the game.
Nevertheless, the Penguins have obviously been doing their homeowork on the video replay front.
Good game 7. I enjoyed it a great deal.
The hen was rooting for the PENS so she was pretty happy.
