Last Friday night my family attended my 2nd counsin's wedding reception in Lawrence, Kansas; hometown of The University of Kansas. My cousin and her husband both are grads from KU. Both were/are fraternity members. The reception was held at an old, beautiful, large, gutted, 3 story building along the Kansas River that was originally a barb wire manufacturing facility. WoW! What a GREAT night! The DJ had the amps set on KILL! The beer & wine was FREE and a cash bar for the hard stuff..............

The R.S.V.P. for the reception asked for music requests for the DJ. There were close to 300 people in attendance (all white) and most were the younger crowd (the girls looked awesome, but I digress). When the Hip Hop music started up the dance floor was packed and stayed that way all night. What I found amazing, everybody dancing knew every word of each Hip Hop song played! When the DJ played the handful of country songs, it was a buzzkill while the floor emptied and maybe 6 or 8 couples danced.

My point, these young dancers seemed to know every word of every non-country song played. Besides Village People's YMCA, the most FUN with artistic lip-sync, air-guitar, hand and body movements was applied to this song:
