I put my number on that a few years back and it didn't really help.
"Change does not always equal progress."
Can I put my number on the National Contractor do not call list?
Hey Steve - Ten years ago I couldn't spend an evening meal with my family without the telephone ringing with a telemarketer hawking something. I listed my home telephone with my state's No Call Registry in May, 2001. The hawking stopped immediately and I couldn't be happier!
Just in the last 60 days I was getting a computer-generated voice hawking a guaranteed "Lowest-Rate" credit card offer no less than 6 times from the same company on my personal cell telephone! I registered my personal cell telephone number on the National Do Not Call Registry and my state's No Call List after the second credit card offer call (it takes 30 days after the telephone is registered to cycle on the No Call registry) and now the calls have stopped.
What can I say, Steve? My success story is the reason I started this thread. Now I carry the National Do Not Call 888 number and my state's 866-Buzz-off number on my contact list on my personal cell telephone to share with my relatives and friends.
Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones where the Do Not Call concept has worked. Just sayin'.
