Listening to the complaints of their employees is also valid. In hind sight anyone would agree that not taking a job at Enron after hearing of problems from some of their employees was a good decision. From what I hear, and have observed, working at USIC is worse than working at UTiliquest which is no gem either.

I cannot help but think that at many, many but not all, of these locating firms the locator is thought of like that anvil.

Sorry you gave up so soon, fish. Locating can be a fun, satisfying career IF you can find the right people to work for. As for your warehouse job? These days, if you work for less than the experienced guy, he's going to get the ax. Good luck in future.
