Welcome aboard. Vegas? Do you have to put a coin into a slot to make you locator work?

Greetings leaftorch! Thanks for joining the Cable Vine Forum! I welcome your membership!

I have made many trips to your wonderful city working as a contract laborer for Carroll Shelby Enterprises who provides the Goodyear Racing tires during NASCAR weekend. I stay at South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa during the week; the place is Great! For many years the NASCAR Vegas schedule followed either Phoenix or Fontana (Los Angeles). My group would finish working either of those races on Sunday and arrive in Vegas the next day Monday. We would stay in Vegas the entire week until Vegas race day Sunday and fly home the following Monday. Let me tell ya, 7 days in Vegas on the'Strip, on somebody else's nickel, is just TOO DAMN MUCH FUN!

This I know, the Vegas crowd on the'Strip Monday night through Thursday night is a whole lot different from the Friday night and the Saturday night crowds..... just sayin.' And, the LuxorŽ Las Vegas is where the Asian escorts hang out/operate during weekends. Those tiny little girls wear the tightest and the shortest, black-leather mini-skirts known to man............. but I digress.

Hey leaftorch, your town is getting a $2 billion, 65,000 seat NFL football stadium and team in 2019 or 2020! And it's going to be the faking Raiders...........

The Raiders is in my conference and the Chiefs play them twice a year. The Raiders stadium in Oakland has raw sewage floating in the visiting team's bench area; and the stadium refuses to fix it. If you haven't picked up on it, I'm not a fan of the Raiders. As a matter of fact, I'm a Raider Hater...... Years ago, the Raiders had Chucky (Jon Gruden) as their head coach. During Chucky's leadership, the Raiders would come into Kansas City so we could witness Chucky stand in front of his boys and just laugh as his boys kicked our ass, numerous times, in our house............. still pisses me off. The Oakland fans SUCK. You'll find out first hand when these bastards come into your town to watch THEIR team play..... just sayin.'

Anyway, thanks for joining us and please post often! Luv Ya Man!

I was driving down the 880 in Cali and got a flat tire right by the Oakland Coliseum. My co-worker and I had to walk about three miles to a gas station and back to get a can of Fix-a-Flat so we could get the hell out of there. The whole city reeked of rotting garbage and raw sewage. I tell you we were two grains of salt in a pepper shaker that day. Kids in cars were pointing at us like they never seen a white guy before. Got several quite reasonable offers to buy a crack rock that day to which we respectfully declined. Luckily, a Korean fellow noticed our plight as we were walking back to the truck and offered us a lift. Didn't speak English very well but he was able to convey that we were a couple of damned fools for being in Oakland anytime of day, let alone near dark. That was back in the 90's and I'm sure things haven't improved since then.

Oh, and welcome to the Vine leaftorch. Have fun finding a good ground in the Vegas sand. Locating in Vegas must be quite a job.

Thanx Mark. You know you're special when you get your own personal troll.

If eating fried chicken and watermelon makes you black, then I'm a blue eyed soul brother, brother.
