Welcome to the show K, this site is the only one you need, use the search function ALOT and read away. Plenty of info here for you.

You learn a lot in this business by doing things over and over.

Training class varies by company and the number of different types of utilities you will have to locate.

Try doing homework, not just class work. Use the old learn by rote system and at night draw and label the various symbols and copy the drawings. This repetition simulates what you would do in the field.

The copying symbols and drawings is more intensive than just reading them over and over. More information is impressed on your brain when it has to work with the data than just by reading it.
