Hey 33 - Welcome to the'Vine! I can't help you on your request, but what a culture shock moving from Massachusetts to Arizona! WoW! I'm not just talking about the weather differences, either.

Massachusetts - The most liberal, gun-grabbing state on the planet............ (OMG! 47 years of Ted Kennedy! Jeeeezus!) Governor Deval Patrick, US Senator John Kerry, US Representatives Barney Frank, Bill Keating, Mike Capuano, Stephen Lynch, Ed Markey, Jim McGovern, Richard Neal, John Olver, John Tierney and Niki Tsgongas - PINK liberals all!

Arizona - Residents are mandated to strap on guns to go grocery shopping!

Anyway 33, Good Luck! I hope you know what you're doing!

Yeah, Arizona is an open carry state. It was a bit weird walking around and seeing people with hip holsters. I wish more states would do that..... it tends to be difficult to "conceal" a .45 sometimes.

Az. is where I was born and bred. You think it's odd to see everyone packing Mke? Try being a kid growing up there, then move out of state.

RD, don't get me wrong, Its not that I thought it was odd to carry openly, I thought it was odd how many were trying to bring back the old west hip holsters.

I'm getting to be more on the side of carrying than not to carry. Call it old age or what have you.

RD, how you like the sunny part of the state?

Hey welcome aboard. Thought about relocating to Prescott or Flagstaff myself.
Earlier this year (Feb 2011), I worked the NASCAR race in Phoenix, AZ. On my way to work the Las Vegas NASCAR race the following week, a couple of my buddies and I went to The Grand Canyon via Flagstaff. I was within 25 miles of Prescott while taking the scenic route through the Coconino National Forest to Sedona, AZ up to Flagstaff. That was quite a haul for one day, but I did see the beautiful side of Arizona. Words can not explain the magnificence of The Grand Canyon.

I would love to visit Prescott and spend more time in Sedona. There is just too much to see in either city for a day's visit. I would also like to visit the Petrified Forest National Park that's about an hour's drive east of Flagstaff on I-40.
