Default metrotech model 810 line tracer

I have for sale.... 810 transmitter, 810 receiver, 8oob004 conductive attachment assembly {direct connect cable, ground spike, and ground plate.}, 600a001-b operation manual. the optional equipment is not included,.{metroclamp and jumper cable and headphones}. this is everything i know about this machine..i read the operation manual. installed brand new batteries and performed the checkout procedure from page 13-16 of the manual. all fuctions were exactly like the book said they should be. also i used it to locate a coaxial cable that i have running cable to my man-cave{workshop}. i alreadyknew where it was buried and the 810 led me right down it like a bloodhound. i'm asking 1,000 for everything listed and i'll leave the new batteries with it. i'm in east texas. at lake tawakoni. contact me anytime, or leave message if i miss the call i'll call you back. 903-453-5929

    Im curious..

So, even if this unit might be stolen (apparently belonged to one of the renter's boyfriends ?).. since a year has passed, and it was obtained in lieu of owed rent/etc.. then its fair game to sell/buy ?
Its quite possible the dude worked for some outfit or himself, but its possibly grabbed out of a truck too, so Im curious how the laws work down there.
(May you live in interesting times)

I am betting the same as anywhere else, possession of stolen goods is possession of stolen goods. But there is no indicator that he is aware of it being stolen and it may or may not be.

I am not aware of a registry for repair shops to check. Years ago I think it was IBM kept a registry of their items stolen from their customers. Anytime their service shops serviced items they compared the serial numbers to the database. Still this was dependent on the customer, not the polcie, registering their items with IBM as stolen.

One company did this and it may have been IBM, I am not sure.

Anybody in Texas have a name of a repair company in Texas? They would have the Serial #'s listed.

Crap, half the tools in East Texas are stolen and the other half have been borrowed! Them Piney Woods boys think the word "buy" is a 4 letter word!!
