    Back when I was doing UG cable fault locating for the power company we had in the supply room a WWII mine detector they had once used. Around 1973.

    Yes, we have.

    I bought it cause I thought it would be cool to have. Well, it looked cool on my garage shelf for about 3 years. Now it is time to pass it on to somebody to appreciate.

    You youngsters today are spoiled. Back when I started we had to stick our ear to the ground and thump the dirt with a club to find buried lines. Had to carry a prybar with us in the winter for when our heads froze to the ground.
