Default What's on tap this season?

Here in the Lake Michigan sector, it looks to be a little less long infrastructure projects and maybe more of a single address uptick. And that is fine by me. WAY more long fibre bore/ road projects in the past two seasons for my liking. How do things look in your part of the country for '11?

We are seeing less road projects and more fiber projects. We are doing intersections but not long road projects. The fibers are mostly from a pole, down a few blocks and then into a building. That's about it.

In my neck of the Midwest, we're seeing TONS of cable tv bores & upgrades, lots and lots of fiber bores, electric primary replacements, and that was just through winter. Now that the weather has warmed we're seeing in uptick in cable & phone drops but the lenghthy bore tickets are still pouring in, and, wouldn't ya know it......I've got enough work for 80 hours a week but big bossman says I can still only work 40.

Since the banks stopped loaning money for building residential homes and commercial buildings almost 3 years ago, all I seem to be doing is road widening projects and AT&T fiber install projects. Back in the day, I would have 5 to 8 new home foundations every week, year after year. I had less than 20 new foundations in 2010 and only 1 so far this year.

I miss hearing that Mexican music blaring out of those Boom Boxes............... NOT!
