    Default Weight on my shoulders.

I have been reading cablevine for several years and see the problems we face everyday.

I just need to get this off my chest.

I have been told repeatedly by my USIC supervisor to lie on damage investigations by taking pictures at awkward angles moving the measuring tape and flat out lieing about the damage in order to take the responsibility off USIC.

    Thanks all for listening.

When I was a CDI (fancy title- certified damage investigator) at usic I once had my supervisor call about a damage I was investigating. I was doing the c-2(online form for damage) when he called and he was telling me how to word it. It was a possible at-fault damage. I finally told him I was uncomfortable with filling it out as he wanted and told him if he wanted to word that way he would have to complete it and electronically sign his name to it. If you lie on one it is a possible termination as a result. I rather have him get the AXE, god knows if it came back I would be thrown under the bus in a heartbeat.

    Welcome to the Vine.

The quickest way to get stabbed in the back is to lie in writing at someones request. They won't know what you are talking about if it comes back around and you are standing there holding the bag as they say.

Don't do it. You did the right thing. I'd bet the Sup. didn't fill out the report and sign his name to it. He knows what can happen.
