OK I think I made up my mind. I'm gonna get a cheap pair of pull over boots for walking through the deep puddles and get these Danners for everyday hiking. They are made for hot weather.

Hey Goldenboy - How are those 'Made in USA' Danners doing? I like what Danner has to offer over the "Made in China," short-lived, foot-killing bullshit I find on the shelf everywhere I look. Someday I'll get a pair of Danners for me.

Danner will custom build a pair of work boots for $600.00. As I read it, Danner will guarantee them to last a lifetime. As the 'custom builds' wear out or break, just send them back to Danner for updates and/or overhauling. Got to love the "Made in USA" brand!

So what brand boots seem to be the best for staying waterproof?

Before Ross became a multi-billionaire, Ross lived on a cul-de-sac in Dallas. My friend Dennis P., as a kid, lived next door to Ross. Dennis got a go cart for his birthday and the first modification was an open-exhaust straight pipe. Dennis used Ross' driveway as a turn around and always punched into wide-open throttle in front of Ross' front door. Ross called Dennis' dad to bitch about the noise. Dennis has his own business today in the Dallas area building super-charged Dodge Hemis for the nitro and alcohol classes for Drag Boats, NHRA & IHRA drag classes, competition pulling tractors and pulling pickup trucks.

Dennis never put the muffler back on the go-cart. Dennis told me Ross Perot was a real sour puss as a neighbor. Dennis & I were talking once about how sweet it would be to still have Ross as a neighbor, build a shop in Dennis' dad's backyard and point the exhaust pipes of the dynamometer room towards Ross' house. VaRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!
