From what I'm reading the fibers need to be protected from the striking employees. Verizon fibers are being cut at access points.

I remember back in 2011 or so, Verizon went on strike in the northeast around New Jersey and New York. The corporate people at Verizon actually started asking for bids on the locating work, but never contracted it out for whatever reason, maybe the bids were all too high. I wonder if they will ask for locating bids now. Becuase of this new strike.

I was taking to one of the usic guys that traveled out they. He says it's getting a little chippy. The verizon guys are picketing the usic hotel yelling some pretty nasty stuff.
