    Default Utility Mapping Software

I am needing to buy a new mapping software for utilities that I have marked and laid out. I am looking for suggestions. I have used AutoCAD since the ol' college days. Just wondering if any of you SUE or Private locate firms has a software program you would suggest.

    Thanks

ARCGIS is really popular. Almost every engineering school teaches it, it is compatible with Bentley MicroStation, AutoCad, DataCad, and imports and exports database, Excel, and XML files. About 1200 a seat.
I seek not to know the answers, but to understand the questions.
