Have you posted your jobs on LocatorJobs.com? I get good feedback from companies who do post their jobs on there.

I asked an employer who was hiring for a new contract what his results were when using locatorjobs.com. This is his reply:

I think we got about 60% of the applicants either directly or indirectly through the site.... I think of the 60% we got through the site, we hired about 85% of them, so good candidates are looking at and using the link.

When I was seeking work I applied to Utiliquest through their 'on line' application. NEVER HEARD A WORD BACK!!! For some reason it just aggrivates me when these companies are 'actively' recruiting and NEVER call or email!!

Jeff Trampleasure is the new Manager for Utiliquest in Texas and has been hiring quite a few SM&P locators that worked for him years ago when he was here as DM for SM&P. They just picked-up the Verizon contract and needed locators with telephone experience. The word is that he's paying good, new trucks, equipment , etc. Meanwhile, I pray every day my RD 400 doesn't quit on me so I don't have to switch to a Rycom!

I could never trust him enough to work for him again

Rumor has it that he has pitched ATT an offer they can't refuse and is going to get at least a Trial run here in Texas. Only in the rumor stage but it's fairly wide-spread in both companies.

Its to bad USIC never makes available (visual map) the footprint of clients it locates for...

At least the major clients... Maybe someone should suggest that...WING!?!?!

I always figured after the merger with SMP/USIC the ATT contract was pretty much nationwide...

It would also give an idea of the leverage the company has harnessed and the big picture... Not to say the contracts are limiting...
