    Default USIC pay in Texas

What is the top out pay in Texas for USIC?

What is the cost of living out there.

    Looking to move out there.

As far as I know there is no Top-out pay here. Some old hands are making over $20 per hour. Of course when the co. freezes raises that sort of caps your pay. The average new home in N. Texas goes for about $160 Grand. However, if you buy Rural and used , you can get decent houses in the $75-$100 Grand range. Gas is at $2.25 today, movies $2 to $12 , beer $20 a case, 2 Sirloins, baked potatos, Iced teas around $40. Mexican food dinners about $25 a couple. Can't remember what a lap dance costs, lots of discount shopping, garage sales etc. for the frugal. Of course, I average about 20 hrs overtime each week and a co-worker does 30 a week - plenty of chances to make extra spending money.

Am I right to say also that Texas does not have state Income Tax still? It used to be like that, but not sure if it still is. Some from there let us all know. Thanks.

No State income tax - 8% sales tax and property taxes though. Also, it's a Right To Work state, gets pretty hot but the Winters are pretty mild. There are probably a dozen USIC/SMP openings around the DFW area most of the time.
