STS Locating Fire - Truth is stranger than fiction

I found these photos while looking through some old digital photo libraries. I still find them to have a good WOW factor.

Back story, so back in the day STS inc (Dyacom) lost their Qwest contract in Orem,Utah. Their manager (let's call him Scott Cox) was very upset about this. So he got ripping drunk and drove his OJ style bronco through the bay door at the STS office, he then lit it and the pallets of paint stored in the office on fire. Scott also caught himself on fire, fell in a ditch and was later apprehended.

STS and Utiliquest are interchangeable. On their stationery both names are in the letterhead.

Anybody here surprised that a contract locate firm employee went Postal?

Funny stuff, and understandable in a way only contract locators would understand. But wait. Did you think about this?

Where in the hell did this guy get the booze? I mean I once drove around Utah for hours hours on end looking for hootch. I didn't realize it was mostly dry there....

It's Utah, beer is bad. So if you have one sip , "oh no it's not his fault, he was DRUNK. The evil beer made him do it" It's like a blank check. Like Sex Rehab for Tiger.
