Watch out for these guys before you pay 500 dollars for their training.
The "trainer" is a drunk who spends more time in the hotel bar drinking than
he does training. And the Operations manager is a spineless coward.
You have been warned.

interesting...they didn't tell me anything about paying for training...but then i didn't get hired.

They offer something like a 4 week training course and I think this is for anybody that wants to pay for it. To my knowledge they do not charge their own hires.

I thought it very strange that a company would hire a person and then charge them for training. I'm sure this is a person who was not hired or hired then fired. Just a guess.

I have seen this and heard of this before.

You get hired but through deductions you have to pay back the cost of 'training'. This happens quite often in the Security Field (armed qualification).

In Locating however I have only heard of this. Never been part of it.

who the hell would pay $500 to get trained when you get it for free in your company lol you can pay me $200 and ill teach you everything about EVERY utility

The guy talking (xoloco) was someone that didn't work out and was upset for being let go. Let him say what he wants (untrue) but in the end, he's unemployed for a reason??? He did not have to pay for any class either (as we thought he was experienced) so not sure what he means.

Also yea we charge $500 for training class because we want people that are serious. Funny no one brought out that we also have a $2000 sign on bonus at the end of training...

I can understand the logic of charging for noobies that have never located. I have seen some of these go through training and then hire on with another firm. There is of course for noobies a non competition agreement but seldom worth the locate firm to take to court.

But I can make you a great offer. Since I am experienced and the training charge will be dropped out about instead of a $2,000 sign on bonus you just send me a check for $1,500? You need not go through all that paper work of hiring me and I can send you the address to send the check to in PM.

To the gentleman posting for stake center.... I promise you i have more experience than the drunk you sent to train me. I have 3 and a half years of verifiable experience with sm&p.
Granted by no means do i think i know it all, but i know a coward, and you mr belfor you are a coward. Thats why im unemployed... because you are a coward.... As far as a 2000 sign on bonus,
i know a guy straight out of you training class, that paid for the class. He dont know nothin about this bouns, sounds kinda made up

Except for these two new guys I have heard only generally positive things about working at Stake Center.

I searched the archives but found nothing. I think maybe due to some bugs in the new software as I remember another thread. Still there was nothing derogatory in the other thread I remember.
