    May just be a theif looking for copper cable to steal. I have seen many scrap hunters pick up FO cable thinking they had gotten metal to sell to the scrap yard.

    I wouldn't put it past a disgruntled employee. If it were me though, I think I would go for a paper cable to cut through if I REALLY wanted to put them out of some money.

    The best way to do it would be to pull the fiber out of the conduit as much as possible, cut it, and then stuff it back into the conduit. It would take them quite a while to find it.

    I'd hate to be "caught on camera" doing something like that.
