    Default Paint Storage

How do you guys store your paint? Reading the can it says not to store in a car or above 50 c ( 122F)

It can get to 50c inside a parked car with windows closed in Winter here , Summer 65c (150F) is a no brainer .

Anyone actually had a can explode ??

I dont need my interior redecorated.
I got a small thermocouple drink cooler holds 6 cans for the current jobs, and cart the rest in a bomb proof box in my tradies trailer, I see that USIC Ford Ranger dude just has his in an open crate

I have always left my paint in the back of my truck where I'm sure it must get up to 130 - 140 F during the summer . Never had one explode
I might not be as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was !

I've never had a can explode from the heat or cold. I've had one explode and that was from setting a frozen can of paint on the defroster and I think from going from frozen to boiling it popped. Otherwise you'll be fine. If you are worried just pick up a cheap plastic tote and keep a few cases in there. If one were to explode it would just redecorate your tote and not your interior.

Yikes, Looks like Mel Gibson in Braveheart . Hope you had your shades on when the can exploded !!
Thanks for the heads up - Found a nice insulated zip up Tote bag to store mine in & the rest will stay in the trailer.
    cheers ..

to be really honest it was'nt the heat that made the can explode, it was my own fault i stupidly used the can to close a small water meter outside a property, and caught the edge of the lid and BOOOOOM!!!.
it did leave a great imprint if me on the floor kinda like a negative of a murder scene haaaaaaa
