I think Richardson is a good example of why we need to start enforcing helmet laws on skiing and many related activities...


These are the reasons health insurance is out of control...

We need to start laying out new fed regulations on those that choose to endeavor in risky behavior and hobbies...

Boats require life jackets nationally and we need to enact sweeping nationwide regulations for all hobbies that effect costs to Americans...


Cigarettes, alcohol, obesity,etc etc...

I dont want to share the burden of cost for my health insurance do to voluntary risks taken by others....


Freedoms such as this, need to be restricted, or there needs to be a cost to those taking chances with there welfare....

Good point USIC1. Instead of making helmets the law. Lets just ban skiing and snowboarding. I couldn't imagine how much would be saved in health costs alone. The moutains can return to their natural settings. What a great idea you have there.

Helmets like life jackets are just band-aids to the problem. If you get rid of the activity there is no need for the antiquated laws. Just get rid of the root cause and ALL the problems will be solved.

Let me get this right.... Not wearing helmets is the cause of our skyrocketing Insurance costs? Not the millions of citizens and non-citizens on state or federally funded health care? Not the people like my sis who pay for insurance for herself, but not her 6kids? Fortunately we make enough to have the government, or state take a small percentage to fund this.... Now as soon as we all start wearing helmets and the government stops taking that small percentage our Insurance costs will come down.

I am officially on board... sign me up.


Just a thought.... maybe we should start wearing helmets in our company rigs too.. that coupled with the seatbelt... should only lower insurance even more.
