    Question Management Decisions...

    #1

So one new tech, had just finished training class, no experience in the field, and he gets a "promotion" to be an auditor and a $3 raise...
Wtf... That's a slap in the face of all of us experienced guys who learned this
skilled profession over many years the field with our blood, sweat and tears...
And now, some f*cking Noob with ZERO experience, has never located, is going to check my work...
Explain to me how that works...

Another tech has 1.5 years experience. Average tech.
He gets promoted to supervisor and couldn't handle the stress and responsibilities.
So after 2 months he goes back to being a tech..
The kicker... This failure of a supervisor gets to keep his $20+/ hr. supervisor salary as a tech...
    Wow.

Can someone explain these insane management decisions?

Seen it before and can't imagine an explanation other than incompetence or the newbie was a buddy / relative.

Ask for a raise and when they say no put your two weeks in. I'll never understand how people in this industry work for peanuts

Another strategy is to say that you have been contacted by another locating company in a nearby area to come over to them. And they offered an extra $2 hourly. Ask your current employer to match it, or that you might leave.

They might even compromise and offer $1 more per hour. I've seen it happen to MANY guys I know.

    CAT,
    That's some good advice.
It's not the money I'm about.
It's the principle of companies respecting and valuing their veteran guys. not screwing them over and paying them what they're worth.
UULC, yahoo and second notice like this.

Only managers that suck at managing already, make those decisions which leads the company to disaster in a short amount of time
