    Default Locating as a career

i've been locating for 3 years now with USIC. i really enjoy the locating work and i don't mind most of the hoops i have to jump through with the company. however, i just dont see potential to move up as i've seen what the sups do and i am not interested at this point in being any sort of management again. what kind of options are there to make locating my career, whether it be with a big contract co. like usic, or as a private locator, or a related job in the industry? any suggestions or ideas, and what kind of education would these careers require, college or just time in the field?

    thanks
