Illegal Gas Hook-ups.

I saw this and figured I'd post it on here. I've heard of it a few times in and around my area. This one is from Detroit from just last week.

Here's one from the area I work. This was a couple years ago. It doesn't pay to brag about stealing gas for 20+ year.

We had the dumb-ass of the day award down here a few years back. I was called out to do an emergency locate for the fire dept and gas dept. when I arrived I was not allowed to enter the area right away, from a distance i could clearly see a major fire was going on. What happened was a homeowner"s gas line was shut off, so instead of paying the bill ( later he would have found out his wife mad arraingments to have service turned on the next day) the dumb ass bypassed the intake valve with a homemade saddle valve and direct lined (no regulator) the gas into his home. after working so hard on getting his home back on line he left to pick up his two year old at daycare. while at daycare he heard a very loud KaBOOM. He didn't think too much about it and went home. To his suprise the gas he hard lined into his home not only blew his roof off his house but took out both neighbors homes one either side of him. He looked at the cops as they were placing him into the patrol car and said 'Man My Wife Is Not Going To Be Happy".............DUMB ASS.........................

We had a darwin award winner here last year hooking up a gas line from a cut and plugged service (15' away from the house) going directly into there house without a regulator. OOPS. A couple days later, BOOM, and the guy stealing gas was severly injured in the blast and later died. One less idiot in the gene pool.
