Hows the weather?

Last year we had SOME snow but this year we are suffering from a severe lack of it. We have a ski resort here, Bogus Basin Ski Resort, that hasn't opened yet and I'm betting it won't open at all. I haven't seen any news reports of huge snow storms or blizzards pummeling the North East like I did last year, either.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Yeah, we had one bad storm up here, but it is all gone now. Our ski resort makes its own snow, so it has a base of 7 feet at the moment.

The annual snowfall total here in the world's breadbasket averages 19". The past two winters my town has had record setting snowfall totals hovering 40". By this time every winter this area has received approximately ten inches total snowfall. So far this winter, Kansas City has received a half inch of snow - total! And that was last night! I've located in Fall-like weather (20 degrees or more above normal) every day since October 2011 and I ain't complaining a bit!

Mmmmmmmmm - Yummy.........

The next 10 days appears to be a continuation of the unseasonably nice weather..........

We had snow in West Texas last week and a pretty cool front moved thru last nite and today. Overall though it's been very mild and I'm not complaining.

We've only had a dusting of snow this year. Normally we've had a couple storms dump about a foot each by now. Not this year!

Just dumped about 14" here in Killington, VT over the last 2 days and finally opened up some tree skiing, my favorite thing to do. Before that not much snow, maybe 30-40" total, but we do have an awesome snowmaking system that kept the Beast king of the Northeast. This storm came just in time for the Dew Tour on NBC next weekend. Here's some pic's of us getting ready for Shaun White and bunch before the snow. The second one is the snowmaking cloud over the Dew site from over 300 guns taken from the top of Skye Peak.........totally awesome site.

This has definately been the easiest winter I've ever worked so far. We've only had one snow day and that was only about 5 inches and the weather has been very warm. For working it has been great but the ice fishing rods and snowmobile haven't been out at all yet. :{
