wise men talk because they have something to say and fools because they have to say something....plato
I started at 13.00 and after 3 years I'm up to 14.45 an hour
rate of pay depends where you are located.
I know of some states where top pay is $22 and another that pays 18 and another thats less than 18.
How well you advance in pay depends on you and how good of a super you have...I maxed out in just over a year.
Depends on where your at. I started @ 8.00 an hour back in 00' and i'm up past $20 now.
You still have to work at it. From 00' to 02 I went from 8.00 to 9.46 an hour. I started at the next company at 12.00 an hour, and left in 07' at 18.50.
However, I know the starting wage at the public locating companies have gone up, but you still don't get large raises. you might start at 12.00 an hour, but in 3 years you might hit 14.00.
mke
4 years and i make 19.48 per

A lot depends on where the work location is. In some areas $14 an hour you can live on, in other areas you can't live on that.
For example in my area the cheapest you can get for a one bedroom apartment is about $800 a month in a high crime neighborhood. Want a decent place to live start at $1,000 and go up. Go to some places Florida and you can get a one bedroom in a decent neighborhood for $500 a month. That difference in higher price is AFTER tax deduction money. So live decent here you have to make more than the $500 a month ($3.12 an hour after taxes) difference in rent. So just for rent you would need to make another $4.50 an hour more. That is if Florida had an income tax, it does not.
That was just rent. A big factor in many areas is the cost of auto insurance. If I move 4 to six hours away my auto insurance can drop 40%.
The above are some big items, the lower, or higher, cost of many items come into play.
Rooks start at $11.00 in my district
I started at $11.75 and almost 3 years later I'm only at $12.25. I have above average quality and production numbers and I live/work in a major city.
